lyrics
Well it look like the same ol’ news again,
you’re looking for love that’s been long dead within
wasted your time thinking of what could have been,
when I was standing right there in front of you
I’m on a roll or am I falling down?
I hit the streets a-runnin’ where I know I’ll find myself
can’t let the hatred get a hold of my mind
And I know, that in due time the love I’ll find on the road
is gonna mend my soul…
And y’know that what you took from me ain’t coming back
You ran with every chance I gave, that found me in the trap
Now I see that every word you spoke was just a cold attack
don’t be lookin’ for pity cuz' I aint got none left…
yeah, cuz’ I’m risin’ above! and I’m breaking the chains,
nothing left to say, time to turn the page.
Running at nightfall and burning the days
and it seems like the end, ain’t too far away tonight…
Was it destiny? your blindness enthralled you to delusion
won’t let you inside my mind no more
no, never again!
Too much, not enough, is it all the same?
when you’re losing your mind every single day
no destinations but the bottom of a jar
when you’re living for killing you won’t get very far
yeah, cuz’ I’m risin’ above! and I’m breaking the chains,
nothing left to say, time to turn the page.
Running at nightfall and burning the days
and it seems like the end, ain’t too far away tonight …
What life will I lead if I stay here in the pain
this blind girl can’t see nothin’ but the rain
…
So don’t wait on me, I’m takin’ this load on my own,
love will live on, long after we’re dead and gone
I remember playing D&D a long time ago and we were having a hell of a time in this module. We were ascending the Ghost Tower of Inverness, all the while getting our asses kicked. I was one of the last members of our party alive when I fell into a pit of water. My armour was so heavy, I couldn’t swim and drowned. For some reason, my horse was with me and lucky enough to escape. He made it to the final room and was able to throw the switch that ended the mission in success. True story! Dumb mmmn
